One of the movers and shakers on the burnout tour, Pete Grmusa has proved his capabilities with a number of victories around the country. Here to compete for one of the biggest trophies on the tour, Grmusa showed off a new look for his Evil XA ute. We caught up for a quick chat to discover how he found the weekend, what other changes had been made to the ute as well as how Pete felt about his chances ahead of the burnout masters finals (which he would later win)!
101,486 people attended the car event over four days in the Nation's Capital, a strong increase from the 90,000 who came to Summernats 25. Top car constructor and green homes builder Mick Fabar was the overall winner of Summernats 26, taking out the Grand Champion award. His 1967 model XR Falcon sedan was recognised as the best of the best by Summernats judges. Labelled ZERO'D, Fabar's car is the world's first ecofriendly Super-Elite Muscle Car, a 600 horsepower, turbocharged, biodiesel V8-powered sedan built with a 'zero carbon footprint' approach.
